hello
so i dyed my hair with garnier nutrisse in cold cashew (cold mahogany brown)
it didn't really work
lol
like my hair is darker, but the roots are still black LOL FOREVER
guess that's what happens when hairdye is $10?
at least it's not staining my pillows like some other reviews said it would
i am quite amused that my home hairdying process as progressed from a towel and newspaper
to a shower cap and poncho

just cleaned the house with mum

i kind of just...fixed up my mess

kids knocked on our door for trick-or-treating and we almost ran out of candy

even though i've lived in the hills for 7 years, i still can't get over the fact that people celebrate halloween up here.

lastly, i finally clicked the submit button on my postgrad coursework application

woke up in the morning (surprise!)
and basically the only useful thing i did today
was hand in my postgrad research apps
the guy behind the desk was super friendly, like real friendly instead of fake friendly
so nice to be smiled at, awesome awesome.

then i went to quad and drank a small capp and read the paper while i waited for cherry to do her exam
got picked up and ate lunch at ole
had an ole burger, it was pretty alright
kind of reminded me of george's portugese burger :)

then cherry dropped me off near town hall and i basically just walked around
visited the new westfield and...
not gonna go back for awhile
it was crazy packed!
the architecture was really modern and glass-y
basically just went into The Gap and then back out to george st
and man, gotta say that they employed some pretty good looking people!

didn't buy anything in the city but i bused it back to towers and did some shopping there
i was only supposed to buy 2 pairs of cotton on fake wayfarers for $20
ended up spending...$110 -_____________________________________-;;
got the two sunnies, a pair of combat boots and brogues (THEY WERE 30% OFF!) and hairdye
sigh. 
got home in time to see isaac go to oztag
and then i dyed my hair (hair photos tomorrow, maybe :P)

had work today, not particularly interesting
aside from the fact i slept at 11:30pm last night
and was heaps fatigued
so i drank a morning coffee, 3 cups of tea and an ice coffee
...not good.
i wonder what's up -.-

also, cut little bro's hair today (at 11:30pm)  <3
loving how hair-cutting has brought us closer together

so after the awkwardness of yesternight
today was mildly awesome!

got to uni
worked on my apps
went up to see supervisor
and discussed postgrad options quite openly
very nice.
he tried to bribe me into doing phD by dropping that i might be interested in going to new york for a conference next year. NGL, i was moved.
he also asked if i minded being cited as co-author if he were to present
and i was like "let me think about it..." nah~ i was like, "sure!"
first possible citation without having to do anything extra!
but then he was like, i can't guarantee that i'll be able to give your referee forms to you on time
and i was like O_O
apparently he had to entertain ~guests from the US
so he made me entertain with one of his phD students instead
LOL ended up having my first social coffee with a respected US psyc lecturer
i obviously impressed her with my silence and genuine nods, lol.

gave chocolates to my other referee
and got told it was "completely unnecessary"
almost made me want to tell him they were 50% off xDDDDD
then supervisor ended up finishing my referee reports on time
and he ticked off the boxes from my referee forms checklist and i was ultimate touched :P

when it came time to go home
(i left my phone at home...again)
i walked down to mum's place
AND SHE ALREADY LEFT!
so i waited half an hour before finally giving in and grabbing a stranger by the arm
and asking to borrow their phone
turns out mum was waiting on uppercampus
sigh. i must stop forgetting my phone at home.

handed in my last report of my undergraduate degree today
amazed on two counts: (1) i was able to sleep at 4am and (2) i handed it in an hour early
wow.
what an achievement, right?

anyway, unsuccessfully stalked supervisor to inquire about referee forms
fail me.
was able to finally get my transcript and birth certificate certified by a justice of peace
yay me.

spent an afternoon chatting with joyce
and can't really find any other way to describe it besides, nice
it was a nice chat, joyce :P

as we were leaving, i saw a familiar shadow come out from behind the door
and then joyce is like nudgenudge
turns out supervisor was coincidentally leaving at the same time
so i bugged him
made awkward convo that was extremely extremely awkward
(he looked like the wanted to run away the entire time)
almost forgot to give him his bribe, but thankfully joyce was there was remind me
:P
i almost feel bad, because...imagine you're a senior lecturer and you've got a ton of work
you're finally leaving work at 7:30pm and ready to enjoy the walk to the bus stop
you wouldn't want some little asian girl bugging you either, right?

welcome to my new home.

what are the reasons behind this change?
nothing interesting really, aside from the technical.
everything seems more compatible, compared to xanga.
hopefully, this will be my last blog change for...ever. (lol.)

also, i'm ready to start a new chapter.
i'll probably be using this one the same way as the old one though.
expect the same updates and photos and lots of fragmented sentences.

as an exciting entree:
today, i woke up and washed mocha-dog.
i also washed my clothes, and my family's clothes, and my bedspread.
15 minutes after i hung up my bedsheets, it started to rain.
interesting, eh?
