YAY finally saw anita for the first time since my birthday <3
also, got to use my new umbrella for the first time :P
(even though it was raining sideways so the umbrella didn't help that much xD)

we went to grill'd for dinner
it was their first birthday and we got a buy-one-get-one-free deal for saying happy birthday to the cashier (which i did in a super exuberant fashion)
the decor was all fancy with balloons and they had a guy singing acoustic covers, which was awesome.

 

it's moments like when anita sneaks up to a table and steals a huge-ass balloon - for us to take photos with - that really hammer in the fact that we're related <3

 

i ordered the baa-baa burger, anita ordered the 'simon says' chicken burger

and we shared the chips

the chips were so. good. SOOOOOOOO. GOOOOOOOOD. 

the baa-baa burger was much better than the chicken burger, but not as good as the time me and twin deliberately drove all the way to newcastle for it...

but still really good.

(and also, cheap on this occasion)

as you can see, we also got free cupcakes. so cute~

(even though the frosting was weird, it tasted like...strawberry oak milk)

 

after dinner, we trundled over to events cinemas to watch POTC4

mini mini lazy review

• there was a super lolsy moment right at the beginning where there's like a dead guy laying there, and me and anita both knew that he'd pop up. and yet, we both managed to get scared. lol. i will never learn. 
• the movie itself was slow to begin but really picked up towards the middle
• the mermaids were awesome 
• the plot was pretty much all over the place
• i actually really enjoyed the 3d effects in this one, it was subtle and used very very well. 
• i also quite liked most of the new characters. and didn't feel that there was a orlando&kerira sized hole missing or anything...
• aside from that, not much to say. 
• it was better than the last one, but no where near as good as the first. 
• i guess there's only so many ways you can reinvent a pirate's search for treasure. 
• even the music, which i usually adore, felt really repetitive.
• also, most lolsy ending ever. me and anita looked at each other in disbelief. so so random.
• that being said, it was still fun.

by the time i went to catch my bus, the qvb was completely empty

our daily coffee break today consisted of michelle going to bebetalo, janice going to coffee cart and me being indignant about not getting any

but then we bumped into cherry at coffee cart and somehow that made me want to go to try the new supposedly AWESOME coffee at the white house. 

so we all trudged down to goldstein to get my coffee. 

IT WAS HIPSTER.

THAT PLACE IS SO HIPSTER. 

the coffee was...not bad. but it wasn't good. so sad. :(

nothing much to report about the past week except fail.
so let's skip over that and focus on the good stuff!

went out with...i don't even know what crew it is...a subset of lab201 crew?
(lol)
left the house late which turned out to be a good thing since janice was also running late
picked her up and then we got stuck in traffic
so then we were really late
but it was a-ok because michelle and joe were running late
and even though they were supposed to arrive 20 minutes before us, we still managed to park the car and met them at the carpark entrance because they got lost xD
(lol lol)
was awesome, and made the decision to eat at takeru without consulting anyone
YES!

and then what was supposed to be a 1:00pm lunch, ended up being a 1:40pm lunch xD
so imagine jenny's surprise when she calls us at 2:00pm, thinking we'd be finished and ready to k and we'd just started eating :P
i ordered a half size ox tongue curry and rice with an iced green tea latte
which was so smart! because otherwise i would've rolled over from eating too much :P

by we, i mean (in alphabetical order): chris, donna, janice, jenny, jessica and joe
i didn't realise but i didn't get to sing my selena gomez song
so now i feel i didn't really k
i hate when that happens!

then after k, we met up with huiyih and went to get michelle's chatime
soooooooooo lolsy that michelle's outfit coordinated with the wall 
then because joe had to get home, me and janice chose to drive him back while the others got food to hotpot
so the three of us headed back to the cinema carpark and after we paid, began walking up the ramps
and then loooooooooooooooooooool
WE COULDN'T FIND MY CAR!!!!!
for about 10 minutes it was like: CAR WHERE ARE YOU?
and then joe was just shaking his head at me and janice throughout the entire ordeal because it was like what kind of people are you? why didn't you remember where you parked the car?
but it was like, because i parked super close to the entrance, both me and janice thought there was no need! we'd find it easy! EXCEPT WE DIDN'T!
(because we counted up from the wrong entrance...)
SIGH.
(sidenote: we also had to go get starbucks for janice because she is addicted to caffeine)

major highlights of the drive to hurstville area

• the gps not working - which reinforces joe's curse that no one's gps can find his house
• the gps working but then taking a dodge route so we ended up just ~vibe-ing it to hurstville city centre
• getting to hurstville city centre and thinking joe would know the way to his house, but then he didn't and then it looked so dodge like we weren't really driving him to his house
• getting to the intersection leading into his street and then joe wanting to make a run for it and both me and janice totally being like WHAT ARE YOU DOING????
• joe offering to pimp me and janice to his mum (by pimp, i mean offering for us to meet his mum) and the ensuing awkward moment that was COMPLETELY HILARIOUS (to me)
• deciding on impulse to visit wynnie and her parents
• thinking we were super awesome because we made it from wynnie's place to michelle's place without a gps (even though it was the next street)
• come to think of it, it would have been even more epically lolsy if we HAD used the gps only to find out it was the next street
• my awesome parking. (by awesome, i mean, completely not)

when we got to michelle's place, it was like huiyih and david owned it
loooooooooool
michelle's place is like a full bachelor pad
with roof top and jacuzzi etc etc etc
hot pot was SO AWESOME! THANK YOU FOR PREPARING!
most awesome was the dried fish skin (even though we kept forgetting we had it)
and all the balls were really elastic-y as well! so good.

lolsy michelle moments

• michelle saying that she'd exposed herself (in reference to her phobia of dogs)
• michelle being confident in the ice she'd put in the fridge when we arrived and then being all like, hey guys it's fully frozen before tipping water all over herself
• michelle being confident...again...being all like, hey guys it's fully frozen before knocking one of the ice cubes with her finger and breaking it
• donna pretending to be janice's pissed face and then michelle saying that it didn't look anything like it...pause...donna doesn't looked pissed
• donna getting caught molesting michelle's ~scotch glass by licking the entire surface -.- (janice made me keep this in)

 

huiyih bought us awesome cupcakes (me and janice joked about how awkward it'd be if she hadn't actually bought them for us xD)

then after dinner, we started watching para para sakura
even though we only had like...half hour before we had to leave
SUPER LOLS, the audio wouldn't play for ages so me and jenny dubbed the english translation for everyone
and we did this really annoying laugh for cecilia cheung only for janice to realise that the real laugh is even MORE annoying
man, english translations are so lolsy sometimes
then we totally skipped over the whole movie to the end so that me and jenny could para para

got picked up at 8:10am by janice (thank you!)
drove to uni via victoria road so that i could get drive thru maccas (thank you!)
then we went to pick up jenny in maroubra before heading to uni
yay! uni on a saturday!

exciting thing, after joe's gift of raisin toast and michelle's ear plus (long story~) was booking the harry potter midnight screening tickets!
HOW EXCITEMENT!
lol. then miss jenny lam proceeded to take half an hour making us warning us.
love that girl!

around 3:15pm, just as everyone got into the groove of working
we had to leave for the rocks to meet up with jess by 4pm
fail. so much traffic despite michelle gifting us with a lift (sidenote: we picked up huiyih on the way so we now had a full carload)
ended up being like...15 minutes late.
the people in the backseat had to get out of the car first while michelle and janice went to park the car, so michelle randomly stopped at a pedestrian crossing
and we were all ready to get out of the car when THE. LOLSIEST. THING. HAPPENED.
HY couldn't open the door!
She was full panicing like she'd just been kidnapped, OMG I CAN'T OPEN THE DOOR.
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL.
so funny.

got to le renaissance with plenty of macaroons to spare.
and ordered so much sweet stuff, but thankfully the servings were small so they weren't tooo bad.
i think favourite was the chocolate tart because I. LOVE. NUTS.

then jess had to leave to party
and the rest of us had to decide where to eat dinner
somehow ended up deciding on the italian forum, leichardt.
so we cramped into michelle's car and drove off into the distance
(lolsy moment when jenny said she wanted to stimulate me)
took us forever to decide where to eat which i guess is a good thing because the others were all saw full
so funny seeing everyone contact all the foodies they knew to pick a restaurant and just failing completely
ended up at moretti, which was a busy place but wasn't too modern. nice family oriented restaurant.
the food was average-high priced but really quite good. loved the mascarpone pizza!
service was a bit so-so, but nothing to complain about aside from it taking awhile to be noticed xD

 

after dinner, on the way home, michelle almost drove over like...5 people

and HY kept grabbing me. it was hilarious.

it was decided that everyone would pile into janice's car for any future roadtrips xD

all of us were so knackered, and it was only like...9pm

after we dropped everyone off, and me and janice were in janice's car again

we bumped into michelle at the traffic lights that turned onto anzac bridge

girl didn't notice us for a full minute

makes us worry sometimes...

also, had a lolsy/lovely conversation with janice on the car ride home.

thursday
caught the m50 for the first time from park street
and now i feel like a ninja because it's a more direct route to uni

spent the whole day drinking from my nikon cup
feeling like a whale/fish/etc

went to forensic lab meeting and called my supervisor racist
because apparently apparently me and emily look the same xD
why am i always the most comfortable in such politically incorrect environments?
hmm...will keep this in mind for future job hunting purposes!

then after a hilarious drugged-up convo the night before with twin:

went to woolies in the city to stock up on my food cupboard! (lol)
because for some reason, i feel like winter means its more likely we'll get locked up on level 14 and then have to live without food? or something along those lines...

then after class was of course ping pong

highlights

• chris full guilting me about doing work for an hour instead of playing pingpong with him and jenny
• me guilting joe because his overrun meeting meant i didn't get my cheap sushi (which was probably a good thing since sushi is cold)
• tony and dan and dom coming up and watching them epic battle
• close game with jenny and chris vs. me and dan. so close. we went up to like...15 for a 11-pt game or something
• joe offering to become a honourary girl and then getting picked up by chris and then being all girly. SO. MUCH. LOLS. 
• can't remember xD

and that's week 10 GONE.
i have a feeling i've forgotten a lot of epic things T_T

freakin' cold day, i remember it was

cherry 'i don't stop at round-a-bouts' ho drove us out to the city and we found a pretty awesome parking spot that turned out to be pretty far away

ate at tony romas and if not for wynnie's awesome 25% off...would probably not go back there for a while...xD

and with the discount it was a pretty decent amount of food for the price. 

apparently, the slamming doors were annoying.

• janice asking joyce a question and joyce answering the question by looking at the wall
• joyce bringing up onion rings and flatuence...then cherry offering her opinion on the subject
• me and wynnie's faces when the loaded mash was not a lot of mash, but mash with...stuff
• the heated discussion about what's a plant, fruit, etc 
• tbc (since my drug-addled brain can't think before 4 items)

when i got home, found this on top of the shoe cabinet
SO. PRETTY.
can't wait to have rainbow eyelids (half kidding).
