putting yesterday down in my little gratitude diary because it was just that awesome.
cherry still-one-ho was supposed to drive up to my place yesterday so we could try out a new patisserie in dural but twin stole her car so we decided to go to marrickville for brunch instead.
we didn't end up getting to marrickville until around 2pm (stupid traffic), and by then, i was dying of starvation. we'd both heard amazing things about the coffee at coffee alchemy and were really excited to try it, but loooooool, i pretty much died when we found out that it was purely a coffee place with absolutely no food.
good thing the coffee was AMAZEBALLS.
they only had coffee in one size ($3.50), but you could take your pick of their beans. CANNOT wait to return in the summer for some cold drip coffee. and buy some to home brew.

then, of course, we had to find some food for my tummy. so after some quick googling (because we have above average google skills) we ended up taking a slow walk across the park to petty cash cafe
it was this really homely place, with mismatched cups and quilts and quirky staff.
(marrickville is really hipster, by the way)
we ordered a egg's benny with salmon and a potato & leek soup with bacon and cream.
epic lols when we realised they didn't take card and we had to pull our cash and we realised we could afford two mains but no drinks xD. well we could have afforded one drink but then we would have zero cash between us.

then we headed towards eastgardens randomly to watch snow white and the huntsmen
on the way we drove past bourke street bakery and we full drove around this epic block to see if we could buy something only to find it closed by the time we reached it. so many regrets :(
but anyway, we got to eastgardens and had almost 2 hours to spare so we just sat on this random couch in the middle of no where and talked, talked, talked. it was awesome. especially when this one kid with these pants kept repeatedly passing us.

swath was okay. so sad since the trailer was so epic when it first came out.
but in the end, it was pretty much what i expected. super pretty cinematography but nothing much in terms of storyline. highlights were definitely the dwarves and that one moment between william (the duke's son!) and snowwy. the evil queen made me so tired with her screaming lol.
random lols was definitely cherry getting the frozen coke and then ordering a large. IT WAS THE SIZE OF MY FOREARM. (and we finished it)

by the time the movie finished, it was around 9pm and we needed to find food.
ended up revisiting the stuffed beaver in bondi - ordered fish tacos and chili fries.
EPIC LOLS! was how much the waitress hated cherry still-one-ho, even though i was the one that asked if she was wearing pants. and then it came time to order dessert (ice cream sandwiches own my life!) and i really wanted peppermint choc chip but cherry was like, nooooooooo~~any flavour but peppermint choc chip. so we decided (me grudgingly) on strawberry chocchip. but LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL when the icecream sandwich arrived it said peppermint chocchip on the wrapping. it didn't look like peppermint chocchip though so cherry was like...naaaaaaaah~~
BUT IT TOTALLY WAS!!!!!!!!
IT WAS THE MOST AMAZING PEPPERMINT CHOCCHIP ICE CREAM SANDWICH I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE.
EVER.
we ended up ordering an extra caramel pecan one to appease her, but because the waitress hates cherry, that took forever and a day to arrive.

ended our epic adventures at cherry's place where i was amazed at the size of her room compared to her last one.
and then twin came to return her car, so then twin drove me to my car (1 min) before we bid cherry farewell. then i drove twin to his place (1 min) before twin bid me farewell.

overall amazing day.
even though i didn't end up sleeping until 4am.
stupid caffiene/cherry's presence.

lolforever.
most random sunday.
had lunch with jan and mum at the baron. i will be going back.
because the food was good. especially the ricotta and honey banana bread. it was amazeballs!!!!
then we went back to my house and we jammed around.
we sucked so bad. well, i sucked. jan was pretty good.
guitar and ukelele and keyboard and singing, singing, singing.

wow what an awesome saturday catch up
after staying out of friday night with jan and pickle (pizza near oxford st, drinks at the taphouse and then wowcow froyo in darlinghurst), i thought another all day social outing was the last thing i'd want but so glad to be proven wrong.
left the house around 1 to pick up jan and it was awesome from there. had a hi-la-ri-ous ride to pickle's place compounded by the fact that i needed to pee. i can't even remember what we talked about anymore, it was just funny.
we had to wait for pickle to clean her house, and by this time i just really really needed to pee so i ended up calling her to be like HURRY UP DUDE.
and then we went to watch prometheus (pickle, jan, hui, jenny and wynnie) and it was HI-LA-RI-OUSly bad. but everyone else thought it was just plain bad lol. i got to huddle with hui though so it was ALL GOOD in my books. lol so many plotholes. so many lols.

after the movie, we went back to pickle's place to hang and make dinner plans while we waited for bel and tab
i braided jan's hair and got hui playing cut-the-rope. it was awesome.

then it was off to dinner at this japanese place on the dodgy side of hurstville.
SO MUCH HILARITY WITH THE PARKING SITUATION. there was like a 1 hour limit at the train station so we kept lusting after the spot outside the restaurant.
ended up running with wynnie to grab the car while the others were supposed to hold the fort. they failed. so we circled the block. and when we went back to through the train station, i witnessed a noob asian driver reverse out of the paying lane and into a pole. O_o
we finally did get a spot, and we wanted to save it for hui so i did the bad thing and parked the beetle in between two spaces xD. then hui came and i sacrificed any reputation of driving skills to let her park first and then i tried to reverse park on the wrong side. and it took FOREVER and like 5 people directing me. oh well.
dinner was awesome sashimi. well worth the stomachache i got a bit later (-.-)
also, most people thought i was drunk during dinner because i was relatively awake for once.

and then it was off to briton le sans (did i just butcher that name completely?-yes i did, brighton le sands sorry) for dessert and it was also pretty awesome! (catch my drift)?
we went to bay vista and it was such a different demographic to what we were used to. never knew there was such night life on that strip.
we ordered some of the most intense dessert i'd ever had. i'm craving the peanut butter concrete shake already and i KNOW that's a bad idea. DON'T DO IT, DONNA!

EPIC!moment of the day was when i was chatting to jan on the way home
and we were discussing how generally awesome and content we were with the day
and then we were talking about favourite moments
so jan said she didn't really have one, but then i said mine.
and then she freakin' SQUEALED IN MY EAR AND ALMOST CAUSED ME TO CRASH MY CAR because we had the favourite moment.
lol.

donna.
after brunch at patisse, we all went to uni (which was the original point anyway)
i successfully did work for about 2.5 hours (marking T_T) before i bid the uni peeps farewell (i think it was jan, pickle and bel at this stage) and headed over to twin's place to watch him cook for many many people, just so i could bask in the presence of cherry and twin lol
cherry was like, "are you seriously going to just stare at us?" because i was supposed to leave just as dinner was starting. but then twin snuck me food so it was all good.
and then adam and bel were late picking me up so i actually got to eat food that wasn't snuck away for me :P i got to eat on a yoga ball because there weren't enough seats xD
highlight/lowlight here was probably being told that my head was so much smaller with my hair tied up.
then it was off to vivid (for the second time in as many days) with adam and bel and their friends.
lots and lots of walking but i got to see all the exhibits i didn't catch the night before so that was awesome.
one of the highlights was bumping into hui, jenny and david in the most random of places.
but highlight-highlight was probably seeing A REAL LIFE NINJA. FORREALS.
not even lying.

donna.
despite late night the night before, got woken up last saturday morning to go brunch with the girls in waterloo
so. random.
but awesome food was worth it!
