I had a bad bout of the cramps last Tuesday, so I decided to avoid throwing up by skipping out on running.
Instead, I decided to go for a brisk walk through the middle of Centennial Park while mentally supporting my running group - you go guys!
The park was really beautiful! Who knew?

Then afterwards (without running), we finally went to Naruone after weeks and months of anticipation at their reopening. Of course we had to order the original chicken, and it was was sooooo good.

I miss running though :(

happy chinese new year!
nothing much exciting this week aside from meeting with the good ol' supervisor, getting called joyce and emily, oh! getting my first tute (fear, excitement, denial, etc etc etci)
also met up with jin people for dinner on thursday and found out that joecheung is going back to hk 4EVAH! *sad face
i've been spending the past two days with family, sewing, cooking chinese new year food and cleaning the house in preparation for the new year.
good times.

check out the intensity of my makeup drawer (and the dust, pre-clean)...
i don't understand how i could still want more stuff -.-

also spent the morning baking a simple'n'delicious chocolate cake (recipe here)
i'm convinced the first decent cake i've ever baked, so i'm super proud of myself, even though it's probably still a bit behind in the taste department.

go dragons!

before i go into the highlight of my day...

been super lazy with the blog lately since uni has been HECTIC!
feels super weird not have something due this week and it's kind of taking some getting used to but i'm definitely not going to take it for granted...

aside from assignments, i've been doing A LOT of eating out
so much so that i can't even keep track of where i've eaten since the last time i blogged
most recently, we went to hotel clarendon in surry hills for dinner (because the restaurant we wanted to go to had a 1 hour waiting period) but the food wasn't really anything too special (aside from the fact that chewing some of the meat made my jaw hurt)

i also feel like i'm built up my alcohol tolerance enough that i can now stop drinking so much
lol.
enough!
it was awesome getting to know a few more of the org classmates better though.
love my cohort <3

another random thing i did was watch 2012 again
i needed a dumb movie to watch while i made friendship bracelets and ohmygosh, i forgot how dumb that movie was
it was so fantasically dumb! and so fun to watch!

anyway, i'm going to try and update my blog a bit more now that i have a bit of a breather
hopefully with some sugar hit reviews soon!
but here's some random photos for now...

my ecotools brush set arrived from eBay

my two pairs of jesus sandals, which i bought on sale from etsy, arrived from greece
i've been wearing them in and they're quite comfy

finally, highlight of my day...
dad's been getting on my case to install a webcam on the living room computer and i finally freed up some time to do it
so to test out the camera and the mic, we video gchated each other between the living room and the study
problem was the mic wasn't working but we could hear dad saying, hello hello can you hear me hello hello i can hear you can you hear me hello how are you what's your name how you doing oh good~~ hello can you hear me, etc etc et
mum thought it was THE. MOST. HILARIOUS. THING. EVER.

seriously...these two doofuses<3

dad thinking he's the poo.

yay a package arrived in the mail the other day
something i was quite excited about: the NARS illuminator in copacabana
it's supposed to be great as a highlight colour and all round dewy spring look (re: leighton meester), but we'll see how we go...
it retails for $58AUD at mecca but i got it for less than $30 from the UK (insert horhorhor)

something else i got quite excited about was the huge-ass volume 1 of the kikki k magazine
the images are fdasjf;ksja;lfja;
sigh~ i wish i could shoot like that :(
more practice!

first of all, ohmygosh long time no post
so long, in fact, that blogger has changed its interface and now i'm all confused xD
but anyway...
recent bout of shopping lead to the purchase of a couple of items:

maybelline colour sensational lipstick in coral crush and peachy scene
got these from priceline at buy 1 get 1 free

i'm so obsessed with coral lipstick at the moment, no thanks to j.crew

and then i've been going on and on about wanting a water bottle
and some awesome person who shall remain nameless sponsered me one *wink

finally, went shopping with mum the other weekend and stocked up on singlets and cardigans from cotton on  in preparation for spring (which i'm super excited for, by the way)

lemon tips
two tips i learnt this week involving lemons

tip #1: for pretty complexion, use lemon on your skin
it's supposed to be really good for drying out pimples, removing blackheads, etc
and also acts as a smoothing/lightening agent (similar to how lemon juice lightens hair)

apply the lemon juice about 3 times a week, for results.
for unsensitive skin, you can just rub a lemon slice directly onto your face.
for sensitive skin, you can squeeze the lemon juice into a cup, dilute it with water and then use a cotton ball to wipe it on your face.
leave it overnight and then wash it off in the morning.

be careful to wash it off, because if you go into the sun with lemon juice on your face, you'll get burnt more easily because it makes your skin more sensitive to light due to its acidic qualities
also, keep in mind it's supposed to sting a little bit, but if you feel really uncomfortable, wash your face off with cold water immediately!

tried this last night, and my huge toxic pimple has already significantly gone down.
wonderful! (lol)

if you add brown sugar to a lemon slice, and rub it on your skin. it doubles as an exfoliator!
(haven't tried this yet)

tip #2: to lose weight, drink lemon honey water
add raw unheated honey to lemon juice straight from a lemon to warm water
kazaam!
drink this every morning on an empty stomach to help detox your body :)

lol i drink this anyway, but i just found out that it actually helps you lose weight
double the awesome!
