Staying at The Star

We stayed at The Star the last two nights for the lols.
Nah~ we stayed there cos we didn't want to die from Mortein because my parents decided to pest control the house themselves.

So Sunday night was spent trying to finish up my client reports before we left but fail because it didn't happen and I ended up taking robmac with me
So that was what I did at the Star on Sunday night.

Mum and Isaac went out to get Din Tai Fung for dinner and it was okay but pretty pricey. Like four really small xiao long bao ended up being about $8?

Had an awful moment where the bellboy came in with the rollaway bed and then me and Isaac kind of looked at each to gauge whether we had change but I only had $10, so the bellboy kind of lingered for a little bit before leaving empty handed. :( I felt so bad and Isaac gave me so much crap for it -.-
But then yesterday, I asked Bel and she said it was fine so I'm just going to go with that.

What else?
Oh our room was ok but the hotel ended up being overbooked so we ended up in a wheelchair accessible room with no bathtub and view of the back of buildings, but can't complain since it was a complimentary stay after all.

I thought it would be awesome cos I would save heaps of time going into uni from Pyrmont but that wasn't the case at all. Ended up saving half hour since I had to walk from the Star to park st.

Dinner on Monday night was dad and I at the Lotus. Man, man, man...
I think it was supposed to be a $45/head banquet if it was full priced and man, not worth it at all. Like at all.
They had this ~special fried rice which wasn't special at all. And most of it was just veggies. It's like, seriously? Seriously?!

But morning made up for it because yesterday I had an awesome awesome breakfast. We got complimentary brekkie at Bistro 80 which was like this little retro restaurant bar at the casino, with some standard buffet offerings and you could order eggs and a side.
They also ha a really upscale nespresso machine that took me 10 minutes to figure out, lol.

So I ended up having nice coffee, chocolate croissant, nice fresh French bread and rockmelon.
And then my poached eggs with a side of smoked salmon arrived and it was sooooo good. ~happy sigh.
Dad's scrambled eggs with avocado was awesome as well.

Hungry just thinking about it.

Other then that, not that awesome since the tower we stayed at had no pool or anything exciting. Glad to be back home ^^
